Firmly established as a top notch self catering lodge with BBQ facilities and fitted kitchens in every lodge, and a new bed and breakfast option, eating at Lokuthula Lodges offers a truly african spectrum of dining options to get your mouth watering and body rejuvinated.Lokuthula Lodges is also privilaged to share its border with The Boma Restaurant, Dine under the stars and embrace the African spirit as you feast on our local delights. We do offer shuttles to and from Boma but please be aware that due to limited seating we do urge you to book early.

The Lodges                                               
Whilst most of the 37 lodges are sold on a self catering basis, Lodges 1 to 8 are attached to Victoria Falls Safari Lodge and are furnished and decorated in a similar style and sold on a Bed and Breakfast basis.

-  Sleeps max 8 pax (2 on sofa beds in the lounge).
-  Fans in every lodge.
-  Tea/coffee making facilities.

An Activities desk is situated in the lodge so you always have a friendly face to assist you in choosing an activity that will best suite your day. Some of the resort activities on offer include:
Hide sits (where we get you closer to the animals).

-  Award winning restaurants and bars.
-  Private bush dinners and many more.
Many of the resort activities can be found on its outskirts and these include activities such as:

- Check-out time is 10.00 hrs, check-in time is 14.00 hrs
- Full payment must be received at least 30 days prior to arrival. Payment for groups (10+ clients) must be received 60 days prior to arrival. Cancellations within this period will incur penalty charges

- Infants under 2 years of age stay free, and meals charged as taken
- Children 2 - 12 years of age pay 50% of adult charge on accommodation and breakfast, when sharing with parent, or when two children share one room.

How to get to us. AIRPORT TRANSFER

Victoria Falls ( On Zimbabwe side )
Livingstone ( On Zambian side )
Airport transfers are provided on request. The resort is 24km from the airport.

The Victoria Falls are 4 km away. A courtesy hourly shuttle service runs between the resort, with pick-up points in town, the Victoria Falls entrance gate and back.
Recommendations WHAT TO BRING ?
If visiting in the cooler months (April to July), bring longs and a sweater or jacket. You will always need:
- A wide-brimmed hat or cap
- Lightweight clothing in neutral to dark bush colours
- Casual wear, including swim wear
- Insect repellant and sunscreen
- Personal medication including malaria prophylactic
- Pair of binoculars
- Comfortable walking shoes, boots or trainers
- Sunglasses
- A disposable raincoat

Whilst it is standard practice to advise all tourists to purchase the necessary medical and evacuation cover when traveling to foreign countries, we are pleased to advise that there is an excellent private clinic in Victoria Falls manned by qualified and experienced staff. We also have a Medical Air Rescue Service (MARS) base in Victoria Falls in the event that an emergency evacuation is required. Most activity operators and some hoteliers include MARS evacuation cover in their charges. Victoria Falls MARS service is also used by Livingstone operators.

Malaria does occur in Victoria Falls and travellers would be advised to take an appropriate prophylactic. Please ask your travel agent or doctor for advice before you travel. Take particular care between January and April.

Africa Albida Tourism ( AAT ) is a Southern African tourism operator with hotels and lodges, restaurants and parks in the region’s foremost tourist destinations with Victoria Falls as the hub. Africa Albida takes its name from the sturdy-rooted Acacia Albida tree; widespread in semi-arid Africa and revered in most parts of the continent.. The group’s hand-sketched tree logo in flaming colours represents stability, nurturing, prosperity and, above all, AAT’s ethic of being a fair, principled and responsible player in its physical, social and business spheres of influence. The colours are reminiscent of brilliant sunsets in the Zambezi Valley where this tree flourishes, with the sketchy artwork suggesting an approach respectful of every venture’s individuality.

Widespread in semi-arid Africa, the Acacia Albida, or Faidherbia Albida commonly known as the Apple-Ring Acacia, is found on a wide range of soils and in different climates. It is known and revered for its multiple uses as a human and wildlife food source, with a multiplicity of other uses. It is a large, deciduous tree, often dominating its landscape with its imposing height and rounded crown, and is considered sacred in parts of Africa for its life-supporting and enriching characteristics.

Terms and Conditions between the Booking Client and Africa Albida Tourism and Lokuthula Lodge ( Victoria Falls ).

We reserve the right to amend rates but will honour any confirmed bookings at existing agreed rates. (Confirmed booking definition: the property has received payment or is holding a valid voucher).

All Rates are quoted inclusive of Government Tourism Levy (currently at 2% in Zimbabwe).

Accommodation for non resident bookings paid in foreign currency is not subject to VAT and rates are therefore quoted exclusive of VAT. (Subject to change in regulations).

It is the client’s responsibility to ensure they have comprehensive medical and travel
insurance for the duration of their stay.

Direct bank transfer is our preferred method of payment and must be paid in the currency as invoiced into relevant Rand (ZAR) / United States Dollar (USD) accounts as stated on the invoice/statement. All incoming payments should be gross and bank charges are for the payee’s account.

FIT ( Free Independent Traveler or Tourist )
Reservations comprising of 1 - 14 paying guests per night.
In the travel industry, the term FIT, is used to refer to a single traveler or a small group (up to14), in contrast to large, organized groups.

Cancellations made prior to date of arrival.
The percentage below are based on the total value of the individual value of the reservation as booked.
- 30 days and more - No Cancellation Fee.
- Between 29 - 21 days prior to arrival - 25 % Cancellation Fee.
- Between 20 – 11 days prior to arrival - 50 % Cancellation Fee.
- 10 days and less prior to arrival - 75 % Cancellation Fee.
During the PEAK months of July, August, September and October, we reserve the right to charge FULL PAYMENT for any bookings cancelled 21 days or less, prior to arrival.

- Full prepayment is required 30 days prior to the date of arrival in order to secure the reservation.
- On bookings made less than 30 days prior to arrival date, FULL PAYMENT within 72 hours is required.
- In the case of Tour operators, who have authorized credit arrangements with us, a valid voucher is required 30 days prior to arrival date to secure the reservation.

Reservation comprising of 15 or more paying guests per night.

A non-refundable deposit equal to 10 % of the total value of the booking (or voucher to this amount) is required to confirm a group booking.

Group bookings will only be held on a provisional basis as follows;
- 91 days or more prior to arrival - 21 days.
- Between 90 and 61 days prior to arrival – 14 days.
- Less than 60 days prior to arrival – 7 days.

In all cases the 10% deposit is forfeited.
Prior to date of arrival:
- 90 Days and more – No Charge.
- 89 – 60 days – 10%.
- 59 -30 days – 40%.
- Less than 30 days – 75%.
The above percentages are based on the total value of the group reservation as booked.

Full pre-payment is required 60 days prior to the date of arrival in order to secure the reservation. (or Voucher, if credit client).

All children welcome when accompanied by an adult.

The company shall not be obliged to perform any obligation under the Contract if such performance is rendered impossible, substantially more difficult or delayed as a result of Acts, Orders or Regulations issued by Central or Local Government, industrial disputes (whether official or unofficial), war, riots, hostilities, flood, fire, accident, act of God, epidemic, failure or shortage of supplies or from any other cause, event or occurrence which the Company is either unable to prevent having due regard to its interests. The Company shall not be liable for any loss, damage, cost or delay arising from or as a result of such non-performance. The onus is on the operator to ensure that their clients are in possession of adequate travel insurance.

Africa.Rec AB and with affiliated domain names, will not accept any responsibility, for any payment or dispute, between the above Service Provider ( and its booking agent ) and the Client.
